If it appears the other driver doesn’t have car insurance, then you really need to see a lawyer. There can be other factors. Hopefully, you have uninsured motorist coverage—that is coverage to protect you if the other driver is uninsured. But still, if it appears there’s no insurance on the other driver, see a lawyer. Perhaps the car he’s driving—that is, the other driver—there could be insurance on the car. He could be driving for a relative. He could be driving for a company that isn’t apparent. So, if you don’t think there’s insurance on the other driver, make certain you talk to a lawyer. Consultations are free.
