So, usually we want the client to be done with their treatment before we move a case forward towards settlement and that’s because a settlement is a one-time lump sum, so we want to include the grand total of all of the client’s medical bills, everything they’ve been through, if they have lost wage claim, so we wait until they’re completely healed before we move forward with the settlement process. Then we obtain the medical bills and records. We put everything together, send it out to the insurance company, and then they evaluate the case and we begin negotiations.
