We can settle many claims without the necessity of filing a lawsuit. However, we are always prepared to try a lawsuit, and when the best interests of the client are served by litigation, and when the client agrees, we proceed to a jury trial. We are able to settle many of our cases because the insurance companies are aware of our trial experience and qualifications. 1. Board Certified
Attorney Mark S. Gervelis is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. This organization is accredited by the American Bar Association to certify lawyers. The Ohio Supreme Court recognizes certification in Trial Advocacy by the NBLSC. Like the medical profession, where the body of knowledge is so large that it is difficult for a doctor to be knowledgeable in all areas of the medical practice, the law has grown so complex that attorneys can no longer be knowledgeable about all areas of the law and proficient so as to provide clients with the detailed representation that they need. The result is specialization. Many individuals would not consider being treated by a medical specialist who is not board certified in his or her specialty. Likewise, specialization and certification in the legal field provides prospective clients with the added confidence that the board certified attorneys are well and truly qualified.
